EAA Reservations Coordinator

Job Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Respond via phone and email correspondence to manage individual EAA guest reservations for the current and future EAA event years.
  • Follow up each with each guest about the managed reservation by sending an email confirmation and responding with a specific message about their reservation.
  • Prepare for the future EAA event year by coordinating with other staff members, planning lodging spaces, pursuing full capacity of all lodging spaces, and continuous communication with guests.
  • Prepare mass communication to be sent to EAA guests. This may vary but is intended to inform EAA guests about their next steps and maintain continuity for guests in order to secure future revenue.
  • Manage and provide insight into the lodging reservation program. The program must be updated accordingly to each EAA guest reservation. In addition, the EAA Reservations Coordinator is responsible for informing supervisors with any information needed about the program and its functions.
  • Effectively handles guest complaints and concerns.
  • Coordinate with other Event & Conference Services staff to ensure work is being done correctly and efficiently.
  • Maintain outstanding customer service with both regular and new guests to ensure future revenue.
  • Assist with check-in and execution of the EAA AirVenture Lodging event the week of the event.
  • Be available during the 10 days of EAA lodging (mandatory).
     

General Responsibilities 

  • Provide exemplary customer service to all guests.
  • Maintain the attitude that quality customer service is the priority of the University Event & Conference Services Department and uphold the mission statement of the department.
  • Serve as a resource for other Event and Conference Services staff members to consult for the EAA conference.
  • Assist with any and all responsibilities that are assigned by the supervisor, Event & Conference Services Staff or Residence Life staff.

 Requirements 

  • Must have and maintain a semester and cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better.
  • Must be a current student in good standing at an accredited postsecondary institution.
  • Must offer a flexible schedule and availability during business hours.

 Qualifications 

The candidate should possess these traits: 

  • Ability and desire to learn on the job and be detail oriented.
  • Ability to multitask through handling of reservation requests by phone and email.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing deadlines.
  • Prior supervisory experience is desired but not required.

 Schedule 

Hours may range from 7am to 6pm, Monday through Friday. Work will be up to 25 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week during the summer.  This position is year-round.

 

$12/hour 

On-campus summer lodging may be available if needed.
