Fitness Center Intern

The School District of Random Lake is seeking a Fitness Center Intern to join our team. This position is ideal for a current college student pursuing a degree in a fitness or physical education-related field who is looking for hands-on experience. The role requires an upbeat, motivated, and responsible individual eager to make a positive impact on the health and wellness of our students and community.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement after-school fitness programs for K-12 students.
• Create personalized fitness plans for community members.
• Supervise the fitness center during operating hours, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling and record keeping.
• Provide guidance and support to fitness center patrons on proper use of equipment and exercise techniques.
• Collaborate with school staff to promote wellness initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program related to exercise science, kinesiology, physical education, or a similar field.
• Knowledge of fitness principles, exercise techniques, and proper use of gym equipment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
