120 hours (flexible schedule) | $550 educational honorarium
Overview
This credit-based internship is for students interested in nonprofit development, leadership, HR-adjacent work, and organizational culture. You’ll gain real-world exposure through observation, projects, and structured support.
What You’ll Do + Learn
By supporting day-to-day work and special projects, the intern will gain exposure to nonprofit fundraising and donor engagement, learn how leadership and culture shape mission-driven organizations, and see how HR-related practices support staff engagement and well-being. Responsibilities include:
- Support basic admin tasks (documents, scheduling, meeting prep, data entry)
- Attend and observe development and leadership meetings
- Take notes and write short summaries or reflections (building communication and organizational thinking)
- Help with research related to fundraising, engagement, or community partners
- Assist with internal materials (presentations, handouts, communications)
- Support the RISE Leadership Project (organization + coordination support)
- Help with associate engagement, culture, or wellness initiatives
- Support simple tracking/reporting and follow-up tasks
- Apply classroom learning to real-world nonprofit and leadership contexts
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in college (undergrad or grad)
- Internship must be for academic credit
- Organized, professional, and willing to learn
- Interest in nonprofit leadership, development, HR, organizational culture, or related fields
- Strong communication and organizational skills
