Master Scheduler Internship
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Reporting directly to the Director - SIOP & Logistics , the Supply Chain Planning & SIOP Internship position supports the various functions of both the Master Schedulers and Director of SIOP & Logistics. This includes but is not limited to, Master Scheduling, Forecasting & SIOP functions. Must have outstanding analytical, written, verbal communication skills and maintain a high level of professionalism.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
S&OP Process Support
Assist in S&OP Preparation: Gather and consolidate data from Sales, Marketing, and Operations to help prepare presentation decks and reports for monthly S&OP meetings.
Track Performance Metrics: Monitor and report on Master Scheduling Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Action Item Management: Track cross-functional action items, and assist in following up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
Master Production Scheduling (MPS)
Support Schedule Creation: Work alongside the Master Scheduler to translate demand forecasts into executable weekly and monthly production schedules..
Identify Constraints: Assist in evaluating manufacturing capacity and material availability to highlight potential bottlenecks or scheduling conflicts
Data Analysis & System Maintenance
Dashboard Development: Assist in building and maintaining Excel or Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards to visualize supply, demand, and production trends.
Conduct Ad-Hoc Analysis: Extract and clean supply chain data to support the planning team with specific investigations, such as root-cause analysis for late orders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Improvement
Facilitate Communication: Shadow planners and liaise directly with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Logistics teams to understand how different departments impact the overall schedule.
Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in current data collection or reporting workflows and propose simple automation or standardization improvements.
EXPERIENCE:
Understanding of order scheduling, S&OP and supply chain practices/procedures are a plus.
Working knowledge of manufacturing, i.e., warehouse and assembly operations is a plus.
Analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
Organized with attention to detail.
Demonstrate ability to exercise good judgment; must be self-motivated and have initiative.
Must be able to adapt to changing needs and positively promote organizational objectives.
Team player who can successfully interact with internal and external organizations and effectively communicate verbally and in writing in a timely manner to ensure positive results.
Working knowledge of an ERP system is a plus.
Demonstrated proficiency in Google suite and Excel a plus.
