Accounting Internship

Company Overview: 

SKB Management is a property management company specializing in the management of multi-family apartment units across Wisconsin.

 

Position Summary

The Accounting Intern will work alongside an experienced financial professional to assist with daily accounting and bookkeeping operations. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Process rent payments and maintain accurate tenant payment records 
  • Apply late fees and NSF (non-sufficient funds) charges as needed 
  • Enter and maintain financial data within AppFolio 
  • Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable tasks 
  • Complete bookkeeping duties
  • Perform bank reconciliations 
  • Work through accounting and operational checklists to ensure accuracy and completion 
  • Assist property managers with documentation and administrative support 
  • Support the office with miscellaneous projects and tasks as assigned 

 

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing accounting degree 
  • Basic understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles 
  • Familiarity with AppFolio or QuickBooks is a plus but we will teach!
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
