Accounting Summer Internship

ABOUT THE POSITION

We’re looking for a highly motivated and ambitious student to join our summer internship program. This internship will provide hands on experience in finance within a collaborative, fast-paced, start-up environment. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to the company's business operations and will play a key role in providing support to the Finance team.

Our Accounting Intern will have the opportunity to: 

  • Gain hands on experience reconciling general ledger accounts and bank and credit card statements
  • Handle monthly spreadsheets and journal entries for cash transactions 
  • Post invoices and payments to our accounting system
  • Communicate directly with clients about their recent transactions and payments
  • Assist with general accounting month-end closing procedures
  • Work on administrative ad-hoc projects as needed

Qualifications 

  • Working towards B.A or B.S in Accounting or related field
  • Junior or Senior year students preferred
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong communicator both written and verbally
  • Team player attitude with a desire to learn
