New Student and Family Programs Student Coordinator

Position Summary:  
New Student and Family Student Coordinators work with the Associate Director of New Student and Family Programs and the New Student and Family Programs Manager to assist with Titan Takeoff prep and execution.  They facilitate conversations about what it means to be a UW Oshkosh student, help new students get to know each other, provide leadership for the Titan Welcome Crew, and assist in the overall delivery of the Titan Takeoff, Titan Camp, and Titan Welcome programs. In this role the Student Coordinator will also assist with the Titan Captain Leadership Course in Spring and mentor Titan Captains.  
 
Compensation and Benefits 
  • $14 per hour  
  • New Student and Family Programs staff apparel 
  • Lunch during each of the Titan Takeoff program dates  
  • Leadership, public speaking, and relationship building experience 
  • Build professional relationships with faculty, staff, and other students 
  • If needed, on campus housing accommodations during summer (free). Students will have to work multiple Residence Life events including EAA to receive housing  
 
Time Commitments
*All trainings, meetings and programs are required.  Exceptions may be granted on a case-by-case basis with New Student & Family Programs.

Requirements: 
  • Enrolled as a UWO student for Spring 2023 and Fall 2023 
  • Good standing academically (enrolled in classes) 
  • Completed at least one full year at UWO by September 2022 
  • Remain in good disciplinary status with UWO 
  • Ability to work effectively with groups and individuals from diverse backgrounds 
  • Engaged in on-campus or community co-curricular experiences 
  • Had a previous leadership position on campus (examples: Titan Captain, Summer Ambassador, Leadership Role in Greek Life)
