Hmong Studies Student Assistant

The student will work closely with Hmong Studies Director to promote Hmong Studies visibility on and off campus. They will be responsible for advertising the new Hmong Studies Program at UWO on social media by creating and maintaining a website, Twitter, and Facebook account, and sending out monthly newsletters. On campus, the student worker will be responsible for the Hmong Studies bulletin board, post and advertise events and courses on campus (and online). Other tasks the student would be required to do is assist in taking meeting minutes, scheduling meetings/events, and organizing Hmong Studies documents. 

This will be a part time position. Student must have work-study. 

Required Job Skills: Student must be knowledgeable in website design, and proficient in Word, Excel, and Photoshop or any other graphic arts programs. Other skills in videography is not required but preferred. Student must be able to work independently, with orientation to detail, meeting assigned deadlines, and have good oral and written communication skills.
