Student Research Assistant
A student research assistant would assist Dr. Lusvardi in a current project in which she is measuring how state legislatures attempt to constrain advocacy groups in collective action on anti-transgender policies. The research assistant would be given three staggered tasks. The first would be to compile an annotated bibliography on a relatively new literature on transgender politics. The second would be to begin the creation a scholarly database of anti-transgender policies introduced into state legislatures in the last three years. The third would be to watch and code state legislative committee hearings in which said policies were introduced in selected case states.
