Lab Assistant- Environmental Research and Innovation Center ( ERIC)

Located on the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh campus along the Fox River, the Environmental Research and Innovation Center (ERIC) is home to five full-time research staff, contract research and development with industry, and employs student research assistants year-round. The laboratory is certified by a number of state and federal agencies for various chemical and microbiological analysis and uses the same methodologies used by agencies and companies throughout North America and Europe. Research Assistants will gain valuable hands-on experience with the following:

• Assist ERIC staff performing various environmental laboratory tests

• Learn how to work in a certified laboratory environment with ‘real-world’ samples and clients

• Collecting, analyzing and recording data in accordance with laboratory protocols

• Perform quality assurance and quality control duties in compliance with laboratory certifying entities

• Operate a wide variety of analytical chemistry instrumentation and/or perform the most contemporary microbiological analysis

• Conducting field and lab research on various grant and industry funded projects
