CA and HA Application 2023-2024

Welcome to the Hall Staff (CA )application for the 2023-2024 academic year. PLEASE READ THROUGH ALL OF THIS INFORMATION CAREFULLY SO THAT YOU SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION!

This application will close on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 12:00PM. Your application must be completed by that time.

This application is for positions which will begin with training during August 2023. If vacancies occur throughout the remainder of 2022-2023 academic year, we will reach out to candidates who apply during this time to see if they are interested in being considered for an immediate opening, however, if a candidate is not interested, it will have no bearing on their 2023-2024 application.

Minimum qualifications to apply include:

-A minimum 2.5 cumulative and semester GPA
-May not currently be on Residence Hall Probation or Disciplinary Probation with the university
-Earned at least 12 college credits post-high school graduation (AP and CAPP credits, for example, do not count toward the 12 credits as they are earned while in high school)

First year students are encouraged to wait until Fall 2022 grades are posted before applying!

Each application/applicant is screened for these qualifications. Should you NOT meet one or more of these qualifications at time of application, you will be notified via email and your application will be deleted.

The discipline history of each applicant will be reviewed beyond probationary status. The Selection Committee will make a recommendation to the Associate Director of Residence Life whether or not an applicant should continue in the selection process if an applicant has an extensive/concerning discipline history.

As you are completing your application, please remember to click the save button frequently, otherwise you may be timed out of the application program. It is also important to read through each question carefully, as some questions have multiple parts. Please make sure that you are answering each question completely. Incomplete applications will not be screened.

You will need to submit information for at least one reference. If you currently live on campus, you are required to have your CA complete your CA Special Reference Form. Please have your CA's email address ready to submit. If you do not currently live on campus, you are required to have the General Reference Form completed on your behalf by someone who can speak to your skills and abilities. Please have your reference's name and email address ready to submit.

Parents/guardians, family members, roommates, significant others and friends are not acceptable references. You will be contacted to resubmit your references if you select a reference from the aforementioned list. Please choose someone who can speak to your skills and abilities, preferably a current/former supervisor, a faculty/staff member, club/organization advisor or a CA or HA who knows you well. They application system will require you to submit a General Reference Form, however, if it is not completed, it has no bearing on your application. If you do not have a second reference, you may enter your contact information in the form; simply do not complete the reference form when you receive an email.

You will need to schedule an interview. Interviews will take place February 14-16, 2023 from 2:00PM-8:00PM. Each interview takes an hour. To sign up for an interview time, you will need to page over to February 14-16 on the calendar in the schedule interview section of the application.
