OSA Sustainability Director

The Sustainability Director will serve at the pleasure of the OSA President and Vice President by serving as a non-voting member of the Green Fund Committee and offer technical guidance and expertise in regards to sustainability issues on campus. The Sustainability Director will also assist students understanding the process to receive allocable funds for campus sustainability projects from the UW Oshkosh Green Fund Committee.

The qualifications of the Sustainability Director include:
  1. Completed one (1) semester at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh
  2. Attained a 2.0 cumulative grade point average prior to taking office
  3. Recommended: Background in sustainability or environmental efforts

The responsibilities of the Sustainability Director include:
  • Report to OSA Chief of Staff and OSA President when deemed necessary
  • Must attend Green Fund Committee meetings, coordinate with other relevant committees and bodies
  • Assist the Green Fund chair in maintaining historical records to be housed in the OSA office
  • Review project applications before they are brought to the chair and the committee, to ensure their accuracy, sustainable benefits, and viability
  • Ensure and assist in follow-up and implementation of funded projects
  • Prepare and submit reports to OSA once per month
  • Prepare and submit reports to the Segregated Fees Committee when deemed necessary
  • Maintain a 2.0 grade point average while serving in this office;
