Job Title: Math Tutor

Job Type: Part-time, flexible scheduling

Pay: Starting at $12/hour

Job Description:

Are you a math whiz who loves helping others succeed? Do you enjoy sharing your knowledge with your peers and seeing their "aha" moments? If so, we want YOU to join our team as a Math Tutor!

As a Math Tutor, you'll have the opportunity to work with fellow UWO students and provide high-quality peer academic support. Here are some benefits of being a peer tutor for math:

Math Tutor positions include one-on-one tutoring by appointment, small group tutoring, and drop-in math lab support. You can apply for one or all positions.

Qualifications:
  • Completion of the specific math course(s) you would like to tutor with a B+ or higher.
  • Incoming freshmen and returning students are eligible to tutor Algebra (Math 100-104) if they have tested into Calculus (Math 171/Math 206) or higher
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Previous experience in tutoring peers is a plus but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing high-quality peer academic support

Starting Pay: $12 per hour

No minimum hours are required, but most of our tutors work between 5-20 hours per week depending on their courseload and availability.
