RESPONSIBLE TO:
Graduate Program Directors and Graduate Program Assistants
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Student will work closely with the College of Nursing Graduate program Directors/Assistant Directors and the College of Nursing Graduate program assistants in maintaining files for the Graduate Program in regard to admission process, health records and criminal background checks as they pertain to acceptance into the Graduate nursing program and clinical settings. Student will be responsible for updating databases critical for projections of enrollment of part-time and full-time progress of graduate students while in program.
Student will assist with any other projects assigned by the Graduate Program Assistants or Graduate Program Directors.

- Excellent communication and telephone skills
- Have proven organizational skills and an eye for detail
- Willingness to work independently as well as with others
- Impeccable professional values and skills, including the ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times
- Knowledge of computer databases and programs (Access, Excel, Adobe, Word, etc.)
- Office experience using scanners, fax machines and copiers, and other office equipment
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Assist in scanning, filing and organizing files for student and/or faculty files in the Graduate Program.
- Act as receptionist and assist customers with needs in absence of Program Assistants and Directors/Assistant Directors.
- Provide assistance with data entry on databases to maintain accurate and up-to-date records on students plan of studies, admission collection and preceptor activity with agencies.
- Prepares and stores files that need to be archived each semester for recent graduates.
- Assist with preparing materials each semester for nursing clinical which requires detailed work that must be turned around in a short period of time.
- Light (but regular) cleaning of work surfaces and high touch areas within the Graduate Program offices, emptying small office trash cans into larger hallway trash receptacles.
