GIS Lab Assistant Fall 2023

• Help prepare and test lab tasks and assignments for three GIS classes (Geog 240, Geog) 241

• Help students complete their tasks during lab class

 • Assist students with take-home lab assignments 

• Keep a record of students’ lab tasks completion status 

• Help students prepare their final projects 

• Help maintain the GIS lab

 

Qualifications for the Position: Well organized student familiar with fundamental principles of GIS and ESRI products, particularly ArcGIS. Able to devote evening hours and weekend time to this job Must have completed Geog 240 and Geog 241 Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus. Job Duties: Help prepare and test lab tasks and assignments. Help students complete their tasks during lab class. Assist students with take-home lab assignments. Keep a record of students’ lab tasks completion status. Help students prepare their final projects.
