Student Assistant Researcher

Job description: 

Dr. Choua Xiong of the Hmong Studies program is looking to hire a student to work her federally funded grant project to examine STEM inequality in higher education and impacts on UW System Hmong American college students. This student will work in a team of student researchers to support data collection efforts. The student should expect to receive training on research methods, recruitment and data analysis. The student will also engage in recruitment, in-depth interviews, data analysis, and meet on a regularly basis with Dr. Xiong and the NSF team. Student will also work on dissemination of research data.

Required qualifications:

· Possess an understanding of Hmong experiences and history

· Be proficient in Microsoft Word

· Be able to work independently

· Be capable of completing work on time to meet deadlines

· Be comfortable function as a member of a team
