Compensation:
- Base salary is $15,140 for 12 months. Position is 20 hours per week during the academic year, 30 hours per week during June and July and 40 hours per week in August.

About the Position:
The Assistant Coordinator of Housing Operations (ACHO) reports to the Coordinator of Housing Occupancy and assists in management of the front office operations of the Department of Residence Life, coordination of front desk and mail operations, execution of the room assignment process and completion of a variety of department-wide projects.
Primary Duties:
Office Management
- Assist the Coordinator of Housing Operations in the management of the front office in the Department of Residence Life, including scheduling and supervising student receptionists.
- Provide office coverage in Residence Life, including greeting guests, answering the phones, responding to general housing email account inquiries and other typical office duties.
Front Desk Management and Mail Operations
- Serve as the direct supervisor to residence hall Desk Managers including the hiring, training, and evaluation.
- Coordinate desk schedules for academic year and break periods.
- Coordinate mail and package delivery services to the residence halls. Serve as the point of contact for campus Postal Services
- Provide oversight to the residence hall key audit process and maintain accurate key records, communicating regularly with Facilities Management staff regarding lock changes.
Housing Occupancy
- Assist the Coordinator of Housing Occupancy with both the room assignment process and academic year moves.
- Assist with the execution and completion of move-in and move out, room sign up and break openings and closings.
Administration
- Participate in orientation, training, professional development sessions, weekly staff meetings and 1:1 meetings as required.
- Analyze and use date to improve the student experience in each hall and support their academic success
- Assist in hall and department policy formulation and review.
- Assist in the execution of large-scale departmental events (Opening/Closing, Hall Staff Selection, Preview Days, Titan Take Off, EAA, etc.)
The ACHO position involves night and weekend commitments. Additionally, this position requires work on Labor Day weekend due to hall opening events.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree earned by start date
2. Acceptance to a UW Oshkosh graduate program (any offer of employment is contingent upon acceptance to a grad program at UWO)
3. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion
4. Previous leadership experience in a college/university setting or significant transferable leadership experience
5. Commitment to the growth and development of students
Preferences:
1. Previous leadership experience in a residence hall setting
