Student Involvement Desk Attendant

Desk is open weekdays from 11 am until 7 pm.

A weekly schedule will be created during fall training. Desk shifts are at least 30 minutes long and applicants should have week day availability as we are not open on the weekends.

Student Involvement Desk Attendants provide effective communications, services, and customer service to Student Leadership & Involvement Center customers and guests.

1. Pleasant and approachable personality and ability to serve customers

2. Answer phone calls and provide accurate information

3. Ability to complete detailed and routine tasks

4. Excellent communication and customer service skills

5. Previous administrative experience preferred

6. Ability to work independently with limited supervision

7. Preferred to be involved in a student organization at minimum must be familiar with various student organizations on campus

8.  Greeting students, faculty and staff and welcome them to the center

9.  Answering questions and provide tours of the center

10.  Referring people to the appropriate staff

11.  Being familiar with the process for becoming a recognized student organization

12.  Serving as resource of information about student organizations

13.  Operate computer system data base of students involved in organizations

14.  Help students utilize the resource area

15.  Sort incoming and outgoing mail and packages

16. Update displays and bulletin boards regularly

17. Support Student Leadership & Involvement Staff with projects

18.  Facilitate key check out for student organization spaces

19. Coordinate services offered through the SLIC including machine rental, ticket sales, event sign ups, etc.

20. Routine office work, and cleaning of student involvement area (filing, typing, etc.)

21. Answering questions regarding Titan Connection
