Marketing & Events Assistant

Full or Part Time - Seasonal, Non-Exempt

20-40 hours per week - Flexible schedule

The Marketing & Events position at the Einstein Project is jointly responsible for the successful execution of larger annual events (STEM Family Day & Community STEM Showcase) as well as the preparation and deployment of marketing Einstein Project pieces in print, digital and social media. This position reports to the Executive Director and works collaboratively with the Resource Development Coordinator, Director of Learning, and Makerspace Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and work within timelines for major events
  • Act as a point of contact for event related communications
  • Prepare and organize materials for events including any print or digital resources
  • Solicit and manage event prize donations
  • Collaborate with outside organizations for participation in major events
  • Coordinate volunteers for the day of major events
  • Develop and execute creative content strategies for Einstein Project business sectors.
  • Create and deploy media content for long form and short form social media.
  • Provide general support for Einstein Project website, social media, and email campaigns.
  • Provide office and warehouse support as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Commitment to excellence with enthusiasm and a positive outlook
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to multitask, work independently, as well as collaboratively as a team
  • Microsoft Office and Google Suite proficiency required
  • Proficiency with digital media creation and editing, including images, videos, and podcasts
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, as needed
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills are beneficial
  • Background checks and drug testing may be required
