Work Study - Percussion Equipment Manager
The Music Department is looking to hire a student to help organize percussion equipment housed in the department. The student will be under the supervision of our percussion faculty.
The student will help to maintain, repair and organize the percussion equipment housed in the Music Department, assist in developing an up to date percussion inventory document, and serve as a liaison between the percussion students, faculty, guest artists, and general department activity regarding specific equipment needs and logistics. Since the ultimate outcome of each repair or maintenance task is specific, and since the ultimate outcome of logistical organization is to facilitate music making and learning, the student and supervisor will keep working each problem until a solution is found. The student will be under the supervision of our percussion faculty.
Qualifications:
-Excellent organizational skills
-Must be able to take instruction and constructive criticism well
-Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge in multiple ways
-Thorough knowledge of the standard percussion inventory
-Microsoft Basics
