Certified Nursing Assistant
Certified Nursing Assistant's work in the Student Health Center on the UW Oshkosh campus. Applicants must have current CNA license, CPR certification, and a minimum of one-year of relevant work experience.
Because of the demands of working in a medical clinic, it is recommended that this be the only daytime position held by the applicant.
Applicant must be able to work Monday 12:45pm-3:45pm
In addition, applicant must chose 1 shift between the following days: Monday 10am-11:45am, Wednesday 9:45am-11:45am or Thursday 10am-11:45am during the fall semester.
Work schedules will not accommodate other jobs or volunteer duties that take place during Student Health Center hours of operation.
Requirements:
1. Wisconsin CNA certification with a minimum of one year's working experience as such.
2. Current CPR Certification
3. Computer proficiency
4. Excellent interpersonal skills
5. Ability to handle conflict with diplomacy
6. Must be able to abide by HIPAA standards of strict confidentiality
7. Minimum GPA 3.0
8. Ineligible if also a CA, and CSO.
9. May not work concurrently with any other campus job
Responsibilities:
1. Room patients, take vital signs, document vitals in Electronic Medical Record (EMR), provide patient instruction as requested.
2. Update the EMR with test results, vital signs, allergies, medications.
3. Stock exam rooms, clean exam rooms, assist providers as needed.
4. Assist staff with outreach events such as influenza clinics, LGBTQ health awareness week, etc., as needed.
5. Other duties as assigned.
