Job Duties, split between all interns:
Marketing
Create a marketing plan for all Center events. The plan should include print/posters, social media, websites, off-campus marketing (ads in local paper), email messaging for on and off campus and other innovative ideas.
Assist with the creation of marketing materials. Will work with the Director and other interns to create these.
Creatively think about how to incorporate AI and AI technologies into the marketing aspects to help streamline the workflow and achieve a higher rate of return of student awareness and attendance at events.
Implement the steps of the marketing plan. This includes hands-on work that could include distributing posters, moving sandwich boards, staffing information tables and more.
Work with Graphic Design intern to create, schedule and monitor social media messaging.
Work with Director to update needed campus website, Involve, and community calendars.
Event Planning & Staffing
Take an active role, as desired, in coordinating the event planning process for all Center events. This could include contacting speakers, assisting with the contracting process, assisting with the payment process, ordering catering, working with reservations for event needs, event set-up, event takedown, and event management.
Staff events, creating a positive experience for attendees
Student Engagement
Encourage students to participate in events sponsored by the Center related to the areas of connecting, learning, and acting.
Work with Center intern team to highlight volunteering and service-related activities to the campus.
Attend weekly meetings with the Center staff and other meetings as necessary.
Fulfill other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Applicants will be undergraduate students enrolled at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and must maintain a semester GPA of 2.0. Applicants must demonstrate skills in some of the following areas: leadership, community engagement, written and oral communication skills marketing or social media and event planning. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work independently. Evening and weekend hours may be required.
